Zelenskyy says Russia understands 'only strength' after Ukraine targets Crimean Bridge logistics

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Russia “understands only strength” following Ukrainian strikes aimed at logistics and infrastructure linked to the Crimean Bridge. The remarks came after Ukrainian forces reportedly targeted supply routes supporting Russian military operations in occupied Crimea, a region that has remained central to the conflict since Russia annexed it in 2014.
Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine would continue to pressure Russian military infrastructure and supply networks to weaken Moscow’s operational capabilities. He argued that diplomatic efforts alone are insufficient without demonstrating the ability to impose costs on Russia’s military activities. According to Ukrainian officials, the strikes were intended to disrupt logistics used to transport personnel, equipment, and supplies.
The Crimean Bridge, which connects Russia to the Crimean Peninsula, has strategic military and symbolic importance for Moscow. Since the start of the war, the bridge and surrounding transport infrastructure have been repeatedly targeted by Ukraine, which views them as key components of Russia’s military presence in the region.
The latest developments come amid ongoing fighting along several fronts and continued international efforts to support Ukraine’s defence capabilities. Analysts say attacks on logistics networks can significantly affect military operations by disrupting supply chains and limiting the movement of troops and equipment.
As the conflict continues, both sides remain engaged in military operations while diplomatic efforts to achieve a lasting resolution have shown limited progress. The situation around Crimea remains one of the most sensitive aspects of the broader Russia-Ukraine conflict.
