PM Modi holds Bilateral talks with Finland PM ahead of India-Nordic Summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with Finland Prime Minister Petteri Orpo in Oslo ahead of the 3rd India-Nordic Summit.

The meeting focused on strengthening cooperation between India and Finland in areas including trade, innovation, digital technology, green transition and sustainable development.

The India-Nordic Summit brings together leaders from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Denmark to discuss strategic partnerships and emerging global challenges.

Ahead of the summit, PM Modi also held bilateral engagements with Nordic leaders and participated in the India-Norway Business and Research Summit in Oslo.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, discussions at the summit are expected to focus on clean energy, technology, defence cooperation, renewable energy, blue economy, Arctic engagement and innovation partnerships.

The India-Nordic Summit is being seen as an important platform to deepen India’s engagement with Nordic nations amid growing cooperation in strategic and economic sectors.
