'Khan Sir' named in FIR after vandalism at Patna Coaching Centre on June 2

Popular educator Faisal Khan, widely known as Khan Sir, has been named in a First Information Report (FIR) registered in connection with the vandalism at his coaching institute in Patna, police officials said on Friday.
The incident took place on Tuesday night when a group of around 15 to 20 individuals allegedly vandalised the premises of Khan Global Studies Institute and pelted stones at the coaching centre, causing damage to the property.
Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kartikeya Sharma confirmed that Khan Sir has been named in the FIR and will be questioned as part of the ongoing investigation. However, the police have not yet disclosed the specific charges under which he has been booked.
The development comes a day after police detained two security guards employed at the coaching centre for allegedly firing shots during the disturbance. The action followed the circulation of a purported video on social media showing armed guards opening fire during the incident. Authorities have not independently verified the authenticity of the video.
Following the attack, Khan Sir had alleged that individuals linked to a rival coaching institute were responsible for the violence and firing. He later clarified that only a detailed police investigation could establish whether any firing had actually taken place and identify those responsible.
Meanwhile, representatives of a rival coaching institute held a press conference on Thursday, accusing Khan Sir of orchestrating the entire episode himself. The allegations have added a new dimension to the controversy, prompting police to broaden the scope of their inquiry.
Investigators are examining CCTV footage, eyewitness accounts and other evidence to determine the sequence of events and identify all those involved. Police said further action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
