Journalist Palki Sharma launches global media platform

Journalist Palki Sharma has announced the launch of India Global Review (IGR), a digital-first global media platform headquartered in India with a focus on international affairs through an Indian perspective.

The platform aims to expand its presence across major regions including the United States, Europe, West Asia, South Asia, and Africa, and will be distributed through digital platforms as well as connected television (CTV) ecosystems. According to a statement, the venture has secured backing from institutional investors to support its early operations and global expansion plans.

Speaking about the launch, Sharma said India is increasingly influencing global conversations and there is a need for an independent and credible platform that presents world affairs with clarity and context

She said the platform intends to focus on facts and perspective in an increasingly polarised media environment, adding that “how the world is viewed shapes beliefs and understanding.”
