Japanese PM Sanae Takaichi meets PM Modi, receives ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi received a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday as she began an important official visit to India. She was welcomed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of the 16th India-Japan Annual Summit, where both leaders are expected to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
The summit is expected to focus on expanding collaboration in trade, investment, defence, technology, infrastructure, and economic security. India and Japan are also likely to review the progress of ongoing bilateral projects and explore new opportunities for partnership.
Strengthening cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region and promoting regional peace and stability are expected to be key topics during the discussions.
During her visit, Prime Minister Takaichi will also participate in the India-Japan Business Forum, where government officials and business leaders from both nations will discuss investment opportunities and economic partnerships.
