Jagan ramps up attack on Naidu Government

YSRCP supremo Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday announced a statewide protest campaign titled 'Two Years of Backstabbing' against the N Chandrababu Naidu-led coalition Government in Andhra Pradesh.

The protest campaign will be held from June 4 to June 12. Jagan alleged that the Government had failed to fulfil its election promises and had betrayed the trust placed in it by the people.

“This statewide programme from June 4 to June 12 is intended to place before people what we see as two years of broken assurances and expose the Government's failure to act on commitments made during the elections,” Jagan said while addressing party leaders at the party's central office in Tadepalli.

The former CM said the agitation would commence on June 4 at mandal headquarters across Andhra Pradesh, where party leaders and workers would display election-time commitments, guarantees and public pledges made by the ruling alliance and burn copies of them as a symbolic mark of protest.
