IPF Bihar Council marks International Yoga Day with grand camp in Sharjah

The IPF Bihar Council organised a grand Yoga Camp at Sharjah Corniche in the UAE on Sunday to celebrate International Yoga Day 2026, drawing enthusiastic participation from people of different nationalities and communities.

Held in the tranquil surroundings of Sharjah Corniche, the event featured yoga asanas, pranayama and meditation sessions aimed at promoting physical fitness, mental well-being and a balanced lifestyle. Participants, including individuals and families, joined the early morning programme and highlighted yoga’s growing acceptance as a global wellness practice.

The camp was organised under the leadership of IPF Bihar Council Convenor RK Mahto and his team comprising Sanjeet Jha, Shailesh Pandey, Rajnish Sinha, Vikas Singh, Manas Pandey, Atul Kumar, Om Prakash, Hemant Singh and Amrita Singh.

Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Doshi, Vice-President of the IPF Central Committee, said yoga serves as a powerful tool for connecting people across cultures and fostering a healthier and more disciplined society. He urged participants to make yoga a regular part of their daily routine.

Mahto described yoga as India’s timeless gift to the world and emphasised its relevance in addressing the challenges of modern-day life. He said regular yoga practice contributes not only to physical health but also to mental peace and emotional balance.
