Delhi Police arrest three within 18 hours for fatal stabbing of 20-year-old in New Usmanpur

Delhi Police have arrested three men within 18 hours of the fatal stabbing of a 20-year-old man in northeast Delhi's New Usmanpur area. According to investigators, the victim was allegedly lured to a DDA park, where he was attacked with knives and died from multiple stab injuries. The swift investigation led to the arrest of all three accused and the recovery of the weapon used in the crime.
Police said the murder was driven by personal enmity. Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused were seeking revenge over an earlier altercation in which one of them was allegedly slapped and threatened by the victim. Acting on technical surveillance, CCTV footage and local intelligence, police tracked down the suspects and solved the case in less than a day.
The three accused are now in police custody and are being questioned to establish the complete sequence of events. A case has been registered under the relevant provisions of the law, and further investigation is underway. Police said they will continue to gather evidence before filing the chargesheet in the case.
