Andhra Pradesh tightens security as NEET-UG re-exam papers transported under heavy vigilance

Authorities in Andhra Pradesh implemented extensive security measures for the transportation of NEET-UG 2026 re-examination question papers, ensuring a smooth and secure process ahead of the crucial medical entrance test.
The question papers were moved under strict surveillance and police protection as part of heightened vigilance measures put in place to maintain the integrity of the examination.
Officials coordinated closely with district administrations, law enforcement agencies, and examination authorities to oversee the secure handling and distribution of examination materials.
Special security arrangements, including escorted transportation, monitored storage facilities, and restricted access protocols, were adopted to prevent any possibility of tampering or unauthorized access.
The enhanced security measures come amid nationwide efforts to ensure a transparent and fair examination process following concerns surrounding the conduct of previous entrance examinations. Authorities have also deployed surveillance systems, biometric verification, and strict monitoring at examination centres to safeguard the credibility of the test.
Officials reiterated their commitment to conducting the NEET-UG re-examination in a secure and orderly manner, urging candidates to focus on their preparation and appear for the exam with confidence.
The measures are aimed at ensuring that lakhs of aspiring medical students can take the examination in a fair and stress-free environment.
