3-Vehicle crash on Karnataka Highway caught on camera

A dramatic 3 -vehicle collision was caught on camera near Lakshmipura Gate on National Highway 648 in Karnataka's Bengaluru Rural district, leaving all 3 drivers injured and prompting a police investigation.

The accident occurred on the Doddaballapura–Devanahalli stretch of NH-648. According to preliminary information, a lorry travelling towards Devanahalli allegedly lost control and rammed into a tractor moving ahead on the same carriageway.

Following the impact, the lorry reportedly crossed into the opposite lane and collided with a Bolero SUV approaching from the other direction. The sequence of events was captured on video, highlighting the severity of the crash.

Despite the heavy impact, the drivers of all three vehicles survived the accident. They sustained injuries and were provided medical assistance. Authorities said the incident could have resulted in a much larger tragedy had other vehicles been present on the stretch at the time.

Police have begun investigating the circumstances that led to the crash and are examining whether overspeeding, driver error, or mechanical failure played a role in the incident.

Officials said further inquiry is underway, and a detailed report will be prepared based on evidence collected from the accident site and witness statements.

The incident once again highlights the importance of road safety and cautious driving on busy national highways, where a single lapse can quickly escalate into a major accident involving multiple vehicles.
