Sikkim municipal elections to be held on April 24

Municipal elections in Sikkim will be held on April 24 and the counting of votes will take place the next day, State Election Commissioner (SEC) KC Lepcha said on Monday.

The filing of nominations will begin on March 30 and scrutiny will take place on March 31, he told reporters here. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is April 4. Polling will be held from 8 am to 5 pm on April 24 and the counting of votes will take from 8 am on April 25, he said.
