Shocking twist in Lohagad trek death as fiancée, friend accused of killing Pune man

In a dramatic twist to a case initially believed to be an accidental death, Pune Police have detained a 26-year-old man's fiancée and her male friend for allegedly murdering him during a trek at Lohagad Fort in Maharashtra's Pune district.
The victim, Ketan Vishal Agarwal, a director in his family's real estate business, had visited the historic fort with his fiancée and two friends to celebrate her birthday. He was scheduled to get married in November this year.
Police had earlier stated that Agarwal accidentally slipped near a cliff amid strong winds while taking photographs and fell nearly 400 feet into a gorge. His body was recovered after a lengthy rescue operation, and an accidental death case was initially registered.
However, during the course of the investigation, police uncovered evidence suggesting that Agarwal may have been deliberately pushed into the valley. Authorities now suspect that his fiancée and one of her male friends were involved in the alleged murder and attempted to pass it off as an accident.
Both suspects have been detained and are being questioned. Police have not disclosed further details about the motive and said the investigation is ongoing.
The case has shocked residents and drawn widespread attention due to the alleged involvement of people close to the victim and the circumstances surrounding the incident.
