Sanitation drive carried out in Daya Basti area

A special late-night sanitation drive was carried out in the Daya Basti area under the Karol Bagh Zone of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to remove legacy waste lying along the railway tracks. Around 300 metric tonnes of waste was successfully cleared during the operation through a well-planned and coordinated midnight effort. The drive was conducted under the supervision of Dilkhush Meena, Deputy Commissioner, Karol Bagh Zone, who was present at the site to monitor the work and ensure it was completed smoothly and on time. The MCD worked closely with the Railway Department, which provided full support and cooperation for the successful execution of the drive. Following the night operation, a special cleanliness drive was also conducted the next morning.
The drive started from New Delhi Railway Station (Paharganj Gate No. 1) and covered routes towards Ramakrishna Ashram Marg and Sheila Cinema. All visible waste and garbage along these stretches were removed, leading to improved cleanliness in the area.
