Pune Murder Probe: Police suspect evidence tampering as Siya Goyal kept fiancé's phone

The investigation into the alleged murder of Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal has taken a fresh turn after police revealed that his mobile phone remained in the possession of his fiancée, Siya Goyal, for some time after his death. Investigators are now examining whether any crucial data was deleted or tampered with before the phone was handed over to Ketan's family.
According to police, Ketan, 26, was allegedly pushed off a cliff at Lohagad Fort by Siya Goyal and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, on June 18. The accused are currently in police custody as investigators continue to gather forensic and digital evidence.
Officials said the victim's phone could provide critical information about the events leading up to the murder, and cyber experts are analysing the device for signs of deleted messages, call records or other digital evidence.
The case has already uncovered several alleged indicators of premeditation, including call records, location data and the recreation of the crime scene. Police believe the findings from the phone analysis could strengthen the prosecution's case if evidence tampering is established. The investigation remains ongoing.
