Pulwama Attack Mastermind Hamza Burhan Killed by Unknown Gunmen in PoK

Hamza Burhan, identified in reports as one of the alleged masterminds behind the 2019 Pulwama terror attack, was reportedly shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
According to reports, no organisation has claimed responsibility for the attack and the exact circumstances surrounding the killing remain unclear.
Hamza Burhan was allegedly linked to the planning and logistics behind the Pulwama terror attack, one of the deadliest attacks on Indian security personnel in recent years.
The February 2019 attack targeted a CRPF convoy on the Jammu–Srinagar highway and resulted in the deaths of more than 40 personnel.
The attack was claimed by the Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
Reports suggest that the incident took place in Muzaffarabad, where unknown assailants reportedly opened fire before fleeing the scene.
Pakistani authorities had not released detailed information immediately after the incident, and investigations into the killing are expected to continue.
The killing adds to a series of reported attacks in recent years involving suspected militants and terror-linked individuals in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
However, no official confirmation has linked this incident to any broader pattern or operation.
