Railways to run special trains to tackle summer rush
To facilitate the rail passengers and to clear extra rush during summer season, the Railways have decided to run special trains, Northern Railway said in a press release.
Train No. 04008 Anand Vihar Terminal – Jogbani Reserved Weekly Special will run every Saturday from April 18 to July 11. Train No. 04007 Jogbani – Anand Vihar Terminal Reserved Weekly Special will run every Sunday from April 19 to July 12.
Train no. 04072 New Delhi to Supaul Junction reserved daily special will run from April 17 to July 15, except 21, 22, 23, 24 and 25th May.
Train no 04071 Supaul Junction to New Delhi reserved daily special will run from April 18 to July 16, except 22, 23, 24, 25 and 26th May.
Assam Rifles commemorates Jallianwala Bagh Remembrance Day in Mizoram
On 13 April 2026, Assam Rifles organised a documentary display to commemorate Jallianwala Bagh Remembrance Day at Serchhip, Mizoram.
The session aimed to educate and sensitise the youth about the historical significance of the Jallianwala Bagh and to instill a sense of patriotism, national pride, and awareness about the sacrifices made by freedom fighters.
The event witnessed the participation of 28 Agniveer Aspirants from Serchhip district who have registered for Agniveer recruitment.
During the session, the documentary highlighted the historical events of the tragedy and emphasised the importance of remembering the sacrifices of martyrs in shaping the nation.
The candidates became enthusiastic and expressed their willingness to actively participate in such events and uphold the values of patriotism and national service.
Assam Rifles reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing patriotic values and spreading historical awareness among the youth through such educational initiatives.
