Police hold drug awareness workshop for educators

The Delhi Police on Monday organised a large-scale workshop-cum-awareness programme on drug abuse, engaging educators and National Service Scheme (NSS) programme officers as key stakeholders in its prevention strategy.
The programme, held at the Adarsh Auditorium at Police Headquarters, was organised in collaboration with the Directorate of Education, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi. More than 300 physical education instructors and NSS programme officers from schools across the city participated in person, while the event was live-streamed to students and teachers from over 1,000 Government and private schools.
The initiative is part of Delhi Police's sustained efforts under the broader framework of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and in line with the directions of Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena to eliminate drug abuse in the capital by 2027.
