PM Modi to visit Seychelles as Guest of Honour for Golden Jubilee National Day celebrations

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake a State visit to Seychelles from June 27 to June 29 to attend the country's Golden Jubilee National Day celebrations as the Guest of Honour. The visit comes at the invitation of Seychelles President Patrick Herminie and marks another important milestone in the long-standing partnership between the two nations.
During the visit, PM Modi is expected to hold bilateral talks with President Herminie to review cooperation in areas such as maritime security, economic development, digital transformation, and regional affairs. He will also address the Seychelles National Assembly and interact with members of the Indian diaspora.
India and Seychelles share strong historical, cultural, and strategic ties. As an important maritime partner in the Indian Ocean, Seychelles plays a key role in India's Vision MAHASAGAR and its commitment to strengthening partnerships with Global South nations.
The visit follows recent high-level engagements between the two countries, including President Herminie's visit to India earlier this year. It is expected to further deepen bilateral cooperation and reaffirm both nations' commitment to expanding collaboration across defence, trade, technology, sustainable development, and people-to-people exchanges.
