"Indians Never Forget Their Roots" PM Modi in Netherlands

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Indian diaspora in the Netherlands and said Indians living abroad never forget their roots and continue contributing positively to the countries they reside in.
Speaking at a community event in The Hague during his visit to the Netherlands, PM Modi praised the Indian community for strengthening ties between India and the European nation.
“Whenever I had conversations with the leadership of the Netherlands, they always praised the Indian diaspora. Every Indian is proud of your contribution to Dutch society and economy,” the Prime Minister said.
Recalling the 2014 Lok Sabha election results, PM Modi said the trust shown by millions of Indians continues to motivate him. “Twelve years ago on May 16, 2014, India gave a stable government with an absolute majority after decades. The trust of crores of Indians does not let me stop or tire,” he said.
Earlier, PM Modi said the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement had given a major boost to trade and investment ties. He added that his visit offers opportunities to strengthen cooperation in sectors such as semiconductors, water management and clean energy.
During the visit, PM Modi is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten and meet King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima.
Members of the Indian diaspora gave the Prime Minister a grand welcome in The Hague with cultural performances including Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam and Garba.
The Netherlands visit is part of PM Modi’s ongoing five-nation tour covering the UAE, the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Italy.
