Over 6,000 youngsters participate in MY Bharat Youth Convention

Over 6,000 youngsters from diverse backgrounds participated in the MY Bharat Youth Convention organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports here on Saturday, interacting with Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, among others.
The ‘Youth for Viksit Bharat: MY Bharat Youth Convention’ was held at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex in the national capital. It showcased the transformative role of youth in nation-building and India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.
Eminent personalities, including MLA and singer Maithili Thakur, actor Vikrant Massey, entrepreneur Aman Gupta, and Indian cricketer Jitesh Sharma, interacted with MY Bharat NSS volunteers and shared their experiences, encouraging young people to pursue excellence and contribute meaningfully to national development.
In his address, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Dr Mandaviya underscored that India’s youth constitute the nation’s greatest strength and are central to the realisation of the vision of Viksit Bharat, emphasising India’s demographic advantage, with nearly 65 per cent of its population under the age of 35.
The Minister also appreciated MY Bharat’s recent Guinness World Record achievement and urged young people to actively participate in the platform’s programmes, volunteer opportunities and nation-building initiatives.
Addressing young entrepreneurs, sportspersons, artists, content creators, UPSC aspirants and other high-achieving youth, the Chief Minister said that the platform was truly a celebration of India’s youth power.
Praising the event, the chief minister said that the presence of so many talented young people and inspirational personalities from diverse fields gave the gathering the feel of ‘stars on earth’. When young entrepreneurs, athletes, artists, public representatives, content creators and those who have succeeded in highly competitive examinations such as the UPSC come together on one stage, it becomes a powerful reflection of India’s diverse talent and limitless potential, she said.
The Chief Minister said the programme was proof that India’s youth are fully prepared to shoulder the nation’s responsibilities.
