No repoll ordered in Tamil Nadu, Bengal: ECI officials

No repoll has been recommended in any of the polling stations in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu where Assembly elections were held on Thursday, the ECI officials said on Saturday.

While all 234 Assembly seats in Tamil Nadu went to vote in a single phase, 152 seats in West Bengal voted in the first phase.

The remaining 142 seats will go to the polls on April 29.

Poll panel officials had earlier cited rules to point out that if webcasting in any of the polling stations is “deliberately” disrupted, a repoll will be ordered.
