Monkey snatches bag with Rs 2 lakh, throws cash from tree in Bulandshahr court chaos

A bizarre incident unfolded at the Bulandshahr court complex in Uttar Pradesh when a monkey snatched a bag containing nearly ₹2 lakh and scattered currency notes from atop a tree, triggering chaos among people present.
The incident occurred when a man had arrived at the court premises to complete formalities related to a land registration. The cash, reportedly meant for purchasing stamp papers for a property transaction, was being carried by a colleague of an advocate when the monkey suddenly grabbed the bag and climbed a nearby neem tree.
What followed shocked lawyers, staff, litigants, and visitors at the court. After reaching the tree, the monkey opened the bag and began throwing bundles of currency notes down onto the ground, leaving people initially confused and then scrambling to collect the falling cash.
As soon as it became clear that ₹500 notes were being scattered, a rush began to recover the money. Several people were seen running across the court premises, attempting to catch the flying notes and gather cash from the ground. Videos of the unusual scene quickly went viral on social media.
Attempts to scare the monkey away by shouting and throwing stones failed as it remained perched on the tree, continuing to drop the notes. The situation led to pushing and jostling among people trying to recover the money.
Eventually, the bag was retrieved from the monkey, but by then around ₹40,000 was reportedly missing from the original amount. Some of the lost cash was later returned by people at the spot, though the full amount could not be recovered.
The incident added to a history of monkey-related disturbances in the Bulandshahr court premises, but the unusual act of a monkey throwing currency notes left everyone both shocked and amused.
