Missing saroops case: SGPC hands documents to SIT

The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on Thursday said it has handed over the copies of the documents sought from time to time by the Punjab Police’s Special Investigation Team, which is probing the case of missing 328 saroops (sacred copies) of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib.
The SIT visited the SGPC sub-office in Chandigarh on Thursday in connection with the ongoing probe.
The Punjab Police has alleged that SGPC had failed to extend effective cooperation to the investigating agency.
On Thursday, the SGPC said they are fully cooperating with the SIT in the matter.
SGPC chief Harjinder Singh Dhami said they have provided copies of the requested documents to the SIT at the committee’s Chandigarh sub-office.
