MHA to ensure ease of doing business for private security

The Private Security Industry Associations under aegis of Union home ministry organised a joint workshop on PSARA compliance and enforcement. The workshop brought together senior officials from Union home minister, Directors General of Police and Additional DGPs, over 400 representatives of private security agencies, industry stakeholders to discuss challenges and opportunities related to the implementation of the Private Security Agencies (Regulation) Act, 2005. The collaborative platform for dialogue between Government authorities and industry representatives was aimed at strengthening compliance mechanisms, enhancing regulatory effectiveness, promoting the professional growth and Ease of Doing Business of the private security sector in India.
In his inaugural address, Kunwar Vikram Singh, Chairman, Central Association of Private Security Industry, highlighted the significant contribution of private security industry towards national security, public safety, and employment generation. He also underscored the importance of coordinated efforts between regulators and industry stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of PSARA across country.
