Leaders change DP to honour Operation Sindoor heroes

Following a call by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to change display pictures on social media as a mark of respect to the armed forces for their success during Operation Sindoor, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, her cabinet ministers, the BJP’s MPs and MLAs changed the display pictures (DP) on their social media handles on the first anniversary.
They hailed the valour of the armed forces on the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor and for emphatically responding to the Pahalgam terror attack.
Sandhu on X said, “We mark the 1st anniversary of #OperationSindoor — a defining moment in Bharat’s strategic resolve and national determination.” He paid tributes to the “immortal valour” of the armed forces for responding to the Pahalgam attack with “exemplary courage, precision, and unwavering commitment” to the nation.
“India remains vigilant, united, and steadfast against every threat to its sovereignty and security. A grateful nation salutes the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion of our bravehearts,” he said.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta lauded the courage, valour and gallantry of the armed forces on the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor. In response to the Pahalgam terror attack, India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 last year, carrying out airstrikes on nine terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, eliminating at least 100 terrorists. “Countless salutations to the indomitable courage, valour, and gallantry of the Indian Army on the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor,” the chief minister said in a post on X.
“On the first anniversary of ‘Operation Sindoor’, Minister Kapil Mishra says, “Our armed forces’ bravery has been witnessed by the entire world...Terrorism had been portrayed in such a way that even those who used to demand proof in India are now praising the army. Salute to the courage of the Indian Army. The entire world has seen that India will not provoke anyone, but if someone provokes us, we will not spare them either,” Delhi Culture Minister Kapil Mishra said in his tweet.
Delhi Cabinet Minister Ashish Sood in his post said, “Operation Sindoor, which began on 7 May, has now completed one year today. This initiative reflects our strong leadership, swift decision-making, and unwavering commitment to the nation’s security.”
Delhi PWD Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh, in a tweet, said, “On the first anniversary of ‘Operation Sindoor,’ crores and crores of salutations to the indomitable valour of the Indian Army. On May 7, 2025, the Indian Air Force, by entering their homes and eliminating the patrons of terrorism based in Pakistan and the murderers of innocent Indians in Pahalgam, made it clear that the new India responds to terrorism with decisive action. ‘Operation Sindoor’ is a proud symbol of the Indian Army’s valour, courage, and the spirit of placing national interest above all. Under the leadership of the illustrious Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, today India is capable and determined to take every necessary step for its security, sovereignty, and the protection of its citizens.”
The military operation was carried out by the three defence forces along with the BSF along the western border, targeting terrorist and military facilities in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir from May 7-10 last year. This operation was carried out in retaliation for the April 22, 2025, terror attack in Pahalgam in which 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed.
