Lawrence Bishnoi gang shooter arrested

Delhi Police’s Crime Branch has arrested a wanted shooter linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in a joint operation with Rajasthan Police. The accused, identified as Pardeep Sharma, alias Golu (23), was apprehended from Uttam Nagar in west Delhi on January 16 after sustained surveillance.
Pardeep Sharma is wanted in multiple cases registered in Rajasthan, including an extortion and firing attack on a businessman in the Ganganagar district and a subsequent arms trafficking case. He was produced before the Rajasthan Police, which took him into custody for further investigation.
Confirming the arrest, DCP (Crime Branch) Harsh Indora said the operation was part of a focused crackdown on organised gangs operating across state borders. “The Crime Branch has been intensifying action against active shooters and arms suppliers linked to organised gangs. The arrest of Pardeep Sharma is a significant step in dismantling the Lawrence Bishnoi network operating in Rajasthan and adjoining regions,” the DCP said.
According to investigators, the case dates back to March 2025, when members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly demanded an extortion amount of Rs 4 crore from a businessman living in Jawahar Nagar, Ganganagar. When the businessman refused to pay, the gang assigned Pardeep Sharma the task of carrying out a firing attack to terrorise the victim.
In May 2025, Pardeep Sharma and his associates allegedly opened fire at the businessman’s residence. An FIR was registered at Jawahar Nagar police station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and the accused were arrested. Sharma later secured bail.
