Ketan Agarwal's father writes to President Murmu seeking fast-track trial and speedy justice

Vishal Agarwal, the father of murdered Pune realtor Ketan Agarwal, has written an emotional letter to President Droupadi Murmu, urging her to ensure a fast-tracked investigation and speedy trial in his son's murder case, saying his family has been "shattered" by the loss of both his son and father within 20 days.
In the email addressed to the President's Secretariat, Vishal Agarwal said he was writing not as a businessman but as a grieving father seeking justice.
"I am writing this email with a heart full of pain and hope. I am just a father seeking justice for my son," he wrote.
Recalling the tragedy, he said Ketan's death was followed by the demise of his own father, who was unable to cope with the shock of losing his grandson.
"Within just 20 days of losing Ketan, I also lost my own father. He loved his grandson more than anything. He could not bear the grief. In just 20 days, I lost both my son and my father. Our family has been shattered," he said.
Vishal Agarwal requested that the case be heard in a fast-track court and that those found guilty receive the strictest punishment under the law. He clarified that the family was not seeking any special treatment but only timely justice.
"Delay in justice only increases the pain of families like ours," he said, urging the President to personally intervene to ensure the case does not become "just another file."
Ketan Agarwal was allegedly murdered at Lohagad Fort near Pune on June 18. Police have accused his fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her alleged lover, Chetan Babulal Chaudhary, of conspiring to kill him by pushing him off a cliff. Both have been arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
The Maharashtra government has already approved a fast-track trial in the case and appointed senior advocate Ujjwal Nikam as the Special Public Prosecutor to conduct the prosecution.
