Kejriwal overacting after court order: Kapil Mishra

Delhi Law Minister Kapil Mishra on Saturday accused former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal of overacting after court relief in the excise policy case and said people of Delhi know what the “truth” is. Mishra said Kejriwal resorted to similar “dramas” even when he was in power.
“Yesterday, the overacting and drama attempted by Kejriwal — the very person who made Delhi suffer for 11 years — is something whose truth is known to the people of Delhi. This press conference is to speak about that truth. It must be said that such overacting and theatrics were visible even when you were in power, and they continue even today. Had you truly understood Delhi’s pain back then — or cared for Delhi even today — things would have been different,” Mishra said, addressing a press conference.
“Regarding the liquor scam, there are serious observations made by both the High Court and the Supreme Court. Despite these remarks, you never accepted any wrongdoing and continued to parade a false badge of honesty. And today, on the basis of an order from a lower court, you are celebrating — but whom are you trying to fool? Is it not true that the liquor policy introduced in Delhi was withdrawn the moment complaints were filed against it? If the policy was based on honesty, why was it taken back? Mishra said.
Mishra, who was in the AAP before he joined the BJP, said that after the case, Kejriwal and former deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia destroyed several mobile phones, and the commission for liquor wholesalers was increased from five per cent to 12 per cent. “The biggest justice happens in the people’s court, and voters did not elect the Aam Aadmi Party government last year,” he added.
Taking a dig at Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, the Law Minister, today you claim honesty. But look at the state of Delhi’s roads over the past 11 years. Look at the condition of water and sewer systems, the state of the Yamuna, the air quality, the schools, the hospitals, and the Mohalla Clinics. Is this the legacy of your governance? These are symbols of corruption.
He further said that it is said that the voice of the people is the voice of God — and the people of Delhi have delivered that justice. In the last elections, Arvind Kejriwal had effectively lost before 10:00 am. Manish Sisodia lost decisively soon after.
