Kazakhstan expresses solidarity to Gulf leaders

Amid escalating tensions across parts of the Middle East, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has sent personal messages of support to the leaders of several Gulf nations, reaffirming Kazakhstan’s solidarity with their peoples during what he described as a “challenging period.”
According to the Akorda press service, the Kazakh head of state addressed his messages to the leaders of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait. In his communications, Tokayev expressed “sincere support and solidarity” with the peoples of those nations and strongly condemned any military actions aimed at undermining the sovereignty and security of states he described as friendly and brotherly to Kazakhstan.
“Our country consistently advocates resolving all complex international issues and armed conflicts exclusively through diplomatic means,” the president stated, emphasising Kazakhstan’s long-standing commitment to dialogue and peaceful negotiation in global affairs.
The statement comes as regional instability has prompted renewed calls for de-escalation and diplomatic engagement among international actors. Kazakhstan, which has positioned itself as a neutral platform for negotiations in past international disputes, reiterated its readiness to contribute constructively to efforts aimed at restoring stability.
Tokayev also affirmed that Kazakhstan stands prepared to provide any possible assistance to the Gulf nations and voiced hope for the continuation of regular working contacts with their senior leadership.
Astana has maintained close political and economic ties with the Gulf states in recent years, with cooperation spanning energy, investment, and multilateral diplomacy. Analysts say the latest messages underscore Kazakhstan’s intention to reinforce those partnerships while promoting peaceful solutions amid regional uncertainty.
