J&K: Suspected overground worker arrested in Baramulla

Security forces have arrested a suspected overground worker of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district and recovered a pistol, 10 rounds of ammunition and a mobile phone from his possession: Officials.

Aijaz Ahmad Ganaie was arrested around midnight by a joint team of police, Army and paramilitary forces at a mobile vehicle check post in Goriwan, in the Sheeri area, they said.

The security forces recovered one pistol, a magazine containing 10 live 9mm rounds and a mobile phone from Ganaie's possession.

A case has been registered and further investigation is underway, PTI reported.
