Iran War Live: Military Warns Conflict With US ‘Likely’ to Restart Amid Rising Tensions

Tensions in the Middle East remain high as Iran’s military has warned that its conflict with the United States is “likely” to resume, signalling the fragile state of the ongoing standoff.
Iranian officials said their armed forces are fully prepared for any escalation, accusing the US of failing to commit to agreements. The warning comes amid continued hostilities linked to the ongoing crisis involving Iran, United States and Israel.
US President Donald Trump has also expressed dissatisfaction with Iran’s latest peace proposal, stating that Tehran’s demands are unacceptable and cautioning against rushing into an early resolution that may lead to future instability.
Meanwhile, maritime tensions have intensified in the strategically crucial Strait of Hormuz, where disruptions to shipping routes have raised global concerns over oil supply and trade security. Reports of suspicious maritime activity near Yemen have further added to uncertainty in the region.
On the ground, regional conflicts continue to unfold. Hezbollah has claimed attacks on Israeli positions in southern Lebanon, citing retaliation for alleged ceasefire violations. The broader conflict has already caused significant casualties and displacement in affected areas.
Diplomatic efforts remain stalled, with analysts suggesting that negotiations over Iran’s nuclear programme and broader regional issues are unlikely to yield quick results. Officials and observers warn that without sustained diplomatic engagement, the risk of renewed large-scale conflict remains high.
