Iran hasn't asked for military aid: Russia

The Kremlin said Thursday that Iran hasn't asked Russia for military assistance as it faces the US and Israeli attacks.
Asked whether Russia could go beyond rhetoric and offer military assistance to its ally, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov responded that “there have been no requests from the Iranian side.”
He added that “our consistent position is well known, and there have been no changes to it.”
Russian officials have said that a “strategic partnership” treaty Moscow signed with Tehran in January 2025 doesn't envisage military assistance.
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry accuses Iran
Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry on Thursday accused Iran of carrying out a drone attack against its exclave of Nakhchivan. One drone crashed near the airport in Nakhchivan and another one near a school, the ministry said in a statement. Two civilians were injured, the ministry said. Iran has not acknowledged targeting Azerbaijan, but its attacks have spread erratically as the war has gone on, involving regional countries and beyond.
1,230 people killed in war: Iran Government
The death toll in Iran from the ongoing war with the United States and Israel has reached at least 1,230 people, an Iranian Government agency said on Thursday.
The Iran's Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs offered the toll. The Israeli military issued an evacuation notice on Thursday, calling for all residents of Beirut’s southern suburbs to “save your lives and evacuate your homes immediately.”
