IP University extends admission deadline to May 30

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has extended the last date for submission of online applications for admissions to its National Level Test and merit-based programmes till May 30, giving students additional time to complete the process.
The university had earlier fixed May 15 as the deadline for applications. Officials said the extension applies to admissions being conducted through national-level entrance tests and merit-based criteria for the academic session.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the university advised applicants to carefully select the correct programme and programme code while filling out the application forms. Students were asked not to submit forms in haste and to verify all details before final submission to avoid mistakes during the admission process.
The university clarified that separate online links have been provided for Common Entrance Test (CET), National Level Test and merit-based programmes. Candidates have been asked to ensure that they apply through the appropriate admission category according to the programme for which they are seeking admission.
Officials said the option to apply for CET-based programmes has now been closed. However, admissions to some of those programmes may still be conducted through Common University Entrance Test (CUET) scores if seats remain vacant after the initial admission rounds.
The university administration urged students and parents to regularly visit the official university websites for updated admission information, programme details and counselling-related notifications.
The admission process at IP University covers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered across its affiliated institutions and schools. Thousands of students from Delhi and other states apply every year for professional and academic courses in fields such as engineering, law, management, journalism, education and health sciences.
University officials said applicants should remain cautious while selecting programmes because incorrect programme codes or categories could create difficulties during counselling and seat allotment stages.
The university has been conducting admissions through multiple channels, including national-level entrance examinations, merit-based criteria and CUET scores, depending on the course requirements and seat availability.
Officials also indicated that applicants should carefully read eligibility conditions and admission guidelines available on the university portal before applying. Students were advised to keep all required academic and personal documents ready during the online registration process.
According to the university, information regarding counselling schedules, document verification and seat allotment will be released separately after completion of the application process.
The extension is expected to benefit students who were unable to complete their applications before the earlier deadline or were waiting for clarification regarding programme categories and admission procedures.
The university has asked all prospective candidates to continue checking its official portals for further announcements related to admissions, counselling and vacant seats.
