Indrajaal unveils Ranger, India’s first anti-drone patrol vehicle

In a significant upgrade to India’s border defence strategy, Indrajaal Drone Defence today announced the launch of the ‘Indrajaal Ranger’, the nation’s first Anti—Drone Patrol Vehicle (ADPV).
This groundbreaking, fully mobile and AI-enabled counter-drone system is engineered to detect, track and neutralise hostile drones while actively in motion, addressing a critical vulnerability in national security.
It also ensures seamless coverage across border roads, canals, agricultural belts, critical infrastructure and dense urban pockets, a press release said. The need for such a system was reinforced by two recent national security incidents. First, an ISI-linked cross-border drone-trafficking operation smuggled weapons deep into Indian territory, exposing how drones have become a direct conduit for arms infiltration.
Second, the Border Security Force (BSF) neutralised 255 Pakistani drones this year alone, underscoring how drones have emerged as the primary transport channel for India’s `3-lakh-crore drug-trafficking ecosystem.
Together, these incidents highlighted a stark reality: every drone intercepted is a life protected. India urgently required a mobile, fast-response counter-drone vehicle capable of real-time interception and Indrajaal’s Ranger delivers exactly that.
During the launch of the Ranger, Lieutenant General Devendra Pratap Pandey (Retd), General Officer of the Indian Army and former Commandant of the Army War College, Mhow, as well as former General Officer Commanding of the Srinagar-based Chinar Corps (XV), said, “Technologies like the Anti-Drone Patrol Vehicle are not just machines, they are shields protecting our children, our farmers, and our future.”
Kiran Raju, Founder and CEO, Indrajaal, added, “Each drone neutralised translates to lives protected and India’s internal security strengthened. This is our primary mission at Indrajaal — to defend freedom.” Indrajaal Ranger delivers a transformative layer of national security, disrupting cross-border criminal operations and safeguarding vulnerable populations.
By intercepting hostile drones, it prevents narcotics from entering and endangering Indian youth, blocks the inflow of illicit weapons into urban centres, and protects farmers living along sensitive border zones.
