Indian values more relevant amid global conflict: ICCR DG

India stands for peace, harmony and universal brotherhood, ICCR’s DG, K Nandini Singla, has said, asserting that in times of wars, conflicts and growing anxiety, the Indian values and its ideas as a civilisation are becoming more and more relevant.
At a press interaction held at Azad Bhawan on the eve of the 77th foundation day of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) on Wednesday, she also said the world needs to be reminded of the ancient Indian ethos of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
“It is not a cliche. The feeling of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ is something that every person in the world appreciates, the idea that we are all interconnected, we cannot thrive at somebody’s expense,” Singla said.
