Indian origin man Gurbhej Singh killed in knife attack in London's Southall

A 26-year-old Indian-origin man, Gurbhej Singh, was tragically killed in a knife attack in Southall, west London, prompting a murder investigation by the Metropolitan Police.
The incident occurred in the early hours of June 10 near North Road and Dormers Wells Lane, an area known for its large South Asian community.
Police officers and paramedics rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a stabbing. Gurbhej Singh, who had suffered serious knife injuries, was pronounced dead at the scene despite efforts to save him.
Another man in his 30s was also injured and taken to hospital, where he was later discharged.
Investigators have arrested seven men in connection with the case. While six suspects have been released without further action, one individual remains under investigation and has been released on bail pending further inquiries.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses and CCTV footage to help establish the circumstances surrounding the attack.
Gurbhej Singh, originally from Punjab, had moved to the United Kingdom in 2022 in search of better opportunities.
His death has left his family devastated, with relatives seeking assistance to bring his body back to India. The investigation into the fatal stabbing remains ongoing.
