Indian killed in UAE missile fallout

At least two people, including an Indian, were killed and three others injured after missile debris fell on a street in Abu Dhabi on Thursday, authorities said. The incident occurred after air defence systems intercepted incoming missiles and drones amid escalating attacks linked to Iran. According to officials, the deceased included Indian and Pakistani nationals, while the injured comprised individuals of Emirati, Jordanian and Indian origin. The UAE’s Ministry of Defence said its forces intercepted multiple ballistic missiles and UAVs, underscoring persistent and evolving aerial threats targeting the country. The latest deaths have pushed the overall toll to 11 since the attacks began, with 169 people injured. Victims include civilians of several nationalities, along with armed forces personnel killed in the line of duty during earlier strikes. Authorities said they remain fully prepared to counter threats and safeguard national security. Emergency teams were swiftly deployed to the site, securing the area and providing medical assistance. The incident highlights intensifying regional tensions, with repeated aerial attacks raising serious concerns over civilian safety and infrastructure security.
