Indian Air Force airlifts NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam Question Papers

In an unprecedented security measure, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has airlifted question papers for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination to multiple locations across India, including Patna, as part of a nationwide effort to ensure a leak-proof examination process.
According to official sources, the confidential question paper packets were transported under strict security protocols to designated centres ahead of the re-exam scheduled for June 21. After reaching their destinations, the papers will be further distributed to examination centres under close surveillance.
The move comes in the wake of earlier concerns over paper leaks, prompting the National Testing Agency (NTA) and the government to introduce a multi-layered security framework for one of the country’s most competitive entrance examinations.
Authorities have deployed the IAF to strengthen the “chain of custody” of exam materials, ensuring that there is no scope for tampering during transit. The papers have been dispatched to 18 key locations across the country using military aircraft.
Officials said that additional measures have also been put in place, including strict isolation of paper setters, enhanced monitoring systems, and coordinated security deployment at exam centres.
The NEET UG re-exam is being conducted under heightened vigilance, with nearly five lakh security personnel expected to be involved in ensuring smooth and fair conduct of the examination nationwide.
The step marks one of the most extensive security operations ever undertaken for a national-level entrance exam in India, aimed at restoring confidence among students and maintaining the integrity of the examination process.
