India, South Korea launch 2026 culture and innovation contest

The Embassy of India in the Republic of Korea, the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre, and Korean English media outlet AJU PRESS have opened applications for the 2026 Korea-India Culture and Innovation Contest to foster public diplomacy through modern technology. This initiative arrives as Seoul and New Delhi increasingly leverage digital innovation to strengthen bilateral relations under the theme 'Our Moments and Future Captured in One Frame'.
The competition represents a strategic shift toward embracing the creative potential of AI. Participants can enter the AI Video Category, requiring content between 30 seconds and 1 minute, or the Essay Category, which calls for original works of approximately 2,500 words in English. To incentivise high-level participation, Grand Prize winners in both categories will receive a travel voucher valued at approximately $2,000 for travel between Seoul and New Delhi. The contest is officially sponsored by the Republic of Korea Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, alongside other important organisations. The submission period runs through April 30.
Applicants must register via the top banner of the AJU PRESS website at www.ajupress.com or by using a smartphone to access the QR code included in the article image. Results will be announced on May 13, followed by an awards ceremony on May 16.
