Husband held for stabbing wife to death in Karkardooma

Delhi Police on Monday claimed to have solved the murder of a 30-year-old woman within hours of the crime by apprehending her husband, who allegedly travelled from Lucknow to Delhi and fatally stabbed her. At the same time, she was asleep in Karkardooma village.
According to police, a PCR call was received at Anand Vihar police station on Sunday reporting that a woman was lying in a pool of blood inside a room in Karkardooma village.
A police team rushed to the spot and found the victim, identified as Sonam Joshi, dead with multiple stab wounds.
Senior police officers, along with the Crime Team and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team, inspected the scene and collected evidence. The body was sent for post-mortem examination. Police said Sonam, a native of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, was working as a full-time domestic helper in Noida. She had recently come to stay at her sister-in-law Kaushal’s residence in Karkardooma village.
During the investigation, police identified the accused as Sonam’s husband, Anuj Joshi (35), a resident of Lucknow who earns his livelihood by operating an ice cream cart. According to investigators, he allegedly purchased a knife in Lucknow before boarding a bus to Delhi.
