Hotel fire: 14 foreign nationals identified, many victims remain unidentified

Authorities have identified 14 foreign nationals out of the 21 who perished in the devastating fire in Hotel Flourish Inn in Malviya Nagar on Wednesday.
According to Delhi Fire Service officials, 21 deaths have been confirmed, with three victims declared dead at AIIMS Trauma Centre and 18 at Max Hospital, Saket. Among those killed were Roland, a 40-year-old woman from Liberia, Tshipambaachil, 40, from Mozambique, and another unidentified woman, all brought to AIIMS. The deceased at Max Hospital included Ashok (56), Vivek (47), Prem Lata (70), Kamla Devi (52), Tulkinov Khpumeium (40), and Makhpirat Khon Kochkaroua (75). Twelve victims remain unidentified.
The tragedy has highlighted the presence of several foreign guests at the hotel. Among the injured are nationals from Bangladesh and other countries who were admitted to various hospitals across the city.
Three injured persons, Mohd Sahidul Islam (48), Aarmin Jaman (25), and Riyana (43), are undergoing treatment at AIIMS Trauma Centre. An unidentified foreign national with severe burn injuries has been admitted to the ICU of Safdarjung Hospital’s burn ward.
At Max Hospital, doctors are treating 20 injured persons, including Roman Habib (20) from Bangladesh, Issac (62), Umma Salma (51), Vishal Kumar (29), Rohit Mukhiya (25), Mohd Warsam (31), Janko Jibrin (75), Ikhtiyor Tashtiayev (46), and Shakhida (44). Nine injured persons have been admitted; they are yet to be identified.
Two unidentified victims are also undergoing treatment at Pt Madan Mohan Malaviya Hospital.
Rescue and identification efforts continued throughout the day as authorities worked to ascertain the identities of the victims.
