Hindus will never forgive Mamata: Suvendu Adhikari

The Hindus would never forget what Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had done to them and they would never forgive her for what she had done to the Hindus, State Opposition Leader Suvendu Adhikari has said during a rally in East Midnapore.
Adhikari was apparently giving his reaction to a previous speech by the Chief Minister, where she counted the number of temples she had constructed and the number of temples she was planning to construct in Bengal, and the magnitude of infrastructural facilities her government had created for the existing Hindu temples.
“The Hindus will never forget and forgive you for what you have done to them and what you have told about the Santani religion,” Adhikari said, adding it was because of her anti-Hindu conduct that her allies in the INDIA (Indian National Democratic Inclusive) Alliance ignored him during election campaigns in States like Bihar,” Adhikari said.
“You have said that you will tour the entire country after the elections, you may do so but no one will take you seriously — rather people will not like you anywhere, you went to Varanasi prayed at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple, campaigned for Samajwadi Party but it lost the elections, wherever you will go the people will vote against the party that you will campaign for because the Hindus hate you,” Adhikari said adding it was because of the aversion that the people had for her that Tejashwi Yadav would not invite her to campaign for his party in Bihar.
“It was you who criticized the Hindu religion as a Ganda Dharm (dirty religion) when the Ram Temple at Ayodhya was being inaugurated all the Chief Minister including even those who were not from the BJP like Navin Patanayak ji came but you took out a protest rally at Park Circus in Kolkata because you wanted to appease your vote bank… the entire country went to take a holi dip at the Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj and you called it a Mrityu Kumbh — Tejashwi Yadav knew that the Hindus do not like you and so he did not invite you to campaign for his party in Bihar, the Hindus have been watching all the sins that you committed against the Sanatanis, they are not very reactive but they remember everything and they will remember this and give you a befitting reply in the coming elections in 2026,” Adhikari said.
Earlier, during a rally at Bongaon in North 24 Parganas, the Chief Minister rolled out a long list of works she had done for the cause of all the religions — primarily mentioning those that she had done for the Hindus.
“I have constructed a grand Jagannath Dham at Digha, which is a masterpiece. My government is getting constructed a Durga Bhoomi in North 24 Parganas and a Mahakaal Temple in North Bengal, I have never discriminated against any religion and equally served all the religions… I developed the infrastructure at got constructed the Sky Walks at Dakshineshwar and Kali Ghat Temples, so no one can call me that my government has discriminated against anyone,” Banerjee had said.
