Guwahati to host ODI and Test Match in India’s International Home Season 2026-27

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the schedule for Team India (Senior Men) International Home Season 2026-27, bringing exciting news for cricket fans in Assam and the Northeast.
Assam Cricket Association (ACA) is pleased to share that Guwahati has been selected as a host venue for two prominent international fixtures during the season.
As part of the West Indies Tour of India, which will begin on September 27, 2026, and features a three-match ODI series, Guwahati will host the 2nd One Day International on September 30, 2026.
Further adding to the excitement, Guwahati will host the prestigious Border-Gavaskar Trophy. The much-anticipated five-match Test series against Australia is scheduled to begin on January 21, 2027, with the 3rd Test match set to be played in Guwahati from February 11 to February 15, 2027. This marks a significant milestone for Assam as the city continues to strengthen its position as a key destination on India’s international cricket map. Hosting both an ODI and a Test match in a single season reflects the growing stature and capability of the region in organising world-class cricketing events.
