Gurugram Thar Accident: Woman dies, police probe driver’s actions after hospital visit

A 57-year-old domestic worker lost her life after she was allegedly run over by a Mahindra Thar inside a residential society in Gurugram's Sector 67. According to police, the incident occurred when the driver was reversing the vehicle in the parking area, where the woman was reportedly resting after finishing her work.

Police said the driver took the injured woman to a private hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Investigators allege that after leaving the hospital, the driver returned the body to the parking area where the incident had taken place instead of immediately informing the authorities. Family members have also raised concerns over the sequence of events and demanded strict action.

Following the incident, local residents gathered outside the driver's residence and protested. Police have taken possession of the body for a post-mortem examination and are reviewing CCTV footage from the residential complex.

Officials said the driver's statement is being recorded, and further legal action will depend on the findings of the investigation. The case remains under investigation.
