Gujarat leads India’s growth story, says CM

Gujarat continues to position itself as a leading force in India’s economic growth,’ Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said while inaugurating a three-day Annual Trade Expo organised by the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) in Gandhinagar.
Addressing the gathering, Patel emphasised that Gujarat has emerged as a development role model through the synergy of trade and tradition, commerce and culture, as well as industry and entrepreneurship.
He highlighted that the state contributes 8.3 per cent to the country’s GDP and 18 per cent to its industrial output, underscoring its economic strength. The “Gujarat Advanced Technology and Economy Expo 2026”, being held from April 16 to 18 at the Exhibition Centre, spans over 18,000 square metres and features participation from more than 16 sectors.
Key industries on display include automobiles, renewable energy, information technology, pharmaceuticals, and textiles, along with emerging fields such as artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
