WhatsApp emotions for Divya Mittal

The sudden announcement of quitting the high-profile job of IAS, and that too in a very popular State of Uttar Pradesh, by Divya Mittal has raised many eyebrows in the bureaucratic circle and particularly amongst her batchmates. The social media announcement by Divya, sharing “voluntarily stepped away from an unforgettable 13-year journey by resigning from the IAS”, was shared by one of her batchmates in the WhatsApp group of the 2013 batch were flooded with questions and simultaneously hailed her tenure in the State. One of them termed it as ‘unfortunate ‘, while another commented, ‘A couple of them are also planning to quit the IAS and go back to corporate. Smileys, exclamation marks and question marks dotted the WhatsApp group, which Divya exited, but quickly someone added her, stating that the group is not an official one and is created to learn about updates in career and life. Divya was IIT, IIM and was handsomely engaged in London, after which she took the call to serve the nation and now the abrupt ending. “I was a fool to think I had come to give something. The truth is, I received the most, and that debt only grew deeper. People were happier for my joy than I was myself,” Divya noted, which has given rise to speculations about the trouble within, if any.

Speaker thinking renovations?

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla is seriously thinking of renovations in the new Parliament building. Whenever it rains, within minutes, the newly built Parliament is flooded, and the Speaker is very upset, says officials. Birla has already raised this issue with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
