Govt transfers 33 IAS, DANICS cadre officers

In a bureaucratic reshuffle, the Delhi Government has transferred 33 IAS and DANICS cadre officers, giving charge of additional chief secretary power and administrative reform to Prashant Goyal. The reshuffle also involved an administrative shake-up, with transfers and postings involving Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), Additional District Magistrates (ADMs) and District Magistrates (DMs) across districts.
IAS officer Prashant Goyal will continue as Additional Chief Secretary of the Food and Civil Supplies Department. He has also been given additional charge of several key responsibilities, including the roles of Chairman and Managing Director of Delhi Financial Corporation and Delhi State Civil Supplies Corporation, as well as Additional Chief Secretary roles in Administrative Reforms and Power.
Among the senior-most changes, IAS officer Dr G Narendra Kumar of the AGMUT cadre has been appointed as Financial Commissioner. He was previously awaiting posting. The position is one of the top administrative roles in the Delhi government.
In another key posting, IAS officer Soumya Saurabh, currently serving as Deputy Commissioner of North West district, will continue in the same role and has been given additional charge as Special Secretary in the Industries Department. IAS officer Sonika Singh, who was serving as Special Secretary and Private Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor, has been posted as Commissioner in the Delhi Development Authority.
Several DANICS officers have also been reassigned as part of the reshuffle. Navlendra Kumar Singh has been appointed as Additional Commissioner in the Goods and Services Tax department, while Harshit Jain has been posted as Joint Secretary in the Legislative Assembly Secretariat. Jain was earlier handling responsibilities related to preparations for Census 2027.
Mangal Sain, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as Superintendent in Central Jail. Om Prakash Saini has been posted as Deputy Secretary in the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board. Vinay Kumar Tripathi has been posted as Deputy Secretary in the Urban Development Department. Amit Kumar has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the State Election Commission. Vijay Singh has been assigned the role of Sub Divisional Magistrate in Badli.
Other appointments include Manoj Kumar as Assistant Director in the Directorate of Vigilance, Bhoop Singh as Deputy Director in the Delhi Agricultural Marketing Board, and Mukesh Kumar as Assistant Commissioner in the Food and Supplies Department.
Ashish Shokeen and Ashwini Kumar have also been appointed as Assistant Commissioners in the Food and Supplies and Trade and Taxes departments, respectively. Daljeet Kumar has been posted as Assistant Commissioner in the Trade and Taxes Department. Suresh Kumar has been appointed as Assistant Registrar in the Cooperative Department. Shaurya Vir Singh has been posted as Deputy Secretary in the Administrative Control Department.
Further postings include Lalvarmoy in the College of Arts, Shashi Kumar as Deputy Secretary in the Women and Child Development Department, and Parveen Bhargava as Deputy Secretary in the Finance Department. Shyam Prakash will serve as Deputy Secretary in the General Administration Department, while Naveen Kumar Verma has been posted as Deputy Secretary in the office of the Minister handling law, labour, and related portfolios.
