God knows how many parts Pak will split into: Rajnath on Kolkata threat

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday hit back at Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif’s recent remarks related to striking Kolkata and said only “God would know how many parts Pakistan would be divided if they cast an eye on Bengal.
He also cautioned Asif to refrain from giving such a “provocative statement” as Pakistan faced the consequences when it was divided into two parts. Rajnath made these assertions in a rally in poll-bound Bengal.
“Fifty-five years ago, they suffered the consequences when Pakistan was divided into two parts. If they try to cast an eye on Bengal, only God knows how many parts Pakistan will be divided into this time,” he said.
This sharp reaction came after Asif last week said Islamabad would retaliate by striking Kolkata in the event of any future misadventure by India.
The Pakistan defence minister made these remarks after Rajnath Singh last week warned that any “misadventure” would invite “unprecedented and decisive retaliation.”
He had also talked about a decisive action in the event of any “misadventure” carried out by India’s neighbour amid the current global situation due to the Iran war. However, Rajnath did not name Pakistan.
“Our neighbour, in the current situation, can commit any misadventure. If it does so, India’s action will be unprecedented and decisive, the defence minister had said, adding that Operation Sindoor is not over yet.
