Ghaziabad man allegedly shoots father dead in Rs 150 crore property dispute

A property dispute turned fatal in Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad after a 32-year-old man allegedly shot his father dead over a disagreement involving family assets worth around ₹150 crore. The incident took place late Wednesday night in Budana village near Modinagar, where police say the accused had returned home under the influence of alcohol and demanded property documents from his father.
According to investigators, an argument broke out when the father refused to hand over the documents. During the confrontation, the accused allegedly opened fire, fatally injuring his 55-year-old father.
Family members informed the police, who reached the spot and sent the body for a post-mortem examination. The accused fled after the incident, and multiple police teams have been formed to trace and arrest him.
Police said the case appears to have stemmed from a long-running dispute over family property. Authorities are also examining the accused's background as part of the investigation. A case has been registered, and officials said further action will be taken based on evidence collected during the probe.
