GDA hosts blood donation camp

Various programmes were organised at the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) office on Tuesday on the occasion of Engineers’ Day. As per the directions of the vice-chairman of the Authority, a blood donation camp was organised on the office premises, in which officers and employees of the Authority enthusiastically participated and voluntarily donated blood.
The blood donation camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from the officers and employees. On the occasion, the participants described blood donation as an important social and humanitarian responsibility and also encouraged others to come forward and donate blood.
On the occasion of Engineers’ Day, engineers and officers of the Authority paid their respects to the legendary engineer and Bharat Ratna awardee, Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, by garlanding his portrait and offering floral tributes. His invaluable contribution to the nation’s development and his exemplary standards in the field of engineering were remembered on the occasion.
During the programme, officers and employees of the Authority highlighted the important role of engineering in the planned and sustainable development of any city.
